Topic: How to Transfer Balances with Balance Transfer Cards

Approximately what credit score is needed for the Amex balance transfer card and will they approve if credit balances are high? That\'s the idea of balance trasferring, isn\'t it?
Balance transfer credit cards require good or excellent credit rating. That means your credit score has to be 660 FICO points and higher. Balance transfer is a good idea, as it allows you to move the balance from existing credit card on to a new card with a lower APR and to save money. Moreover, many credit card issuers offer introductory APR for balance transfers for as low as 0% for up to 12 months. You may take advantage of these low rates by applying for a balance transfer plastic. The balance you can transfer depends directly on a credit limit on this card, that means your balance will be the same as your credit limit.
Which is the best balance transfer fee card that does not have a balance transfer fee?

Balance transfer deals with 0% APR are considered the most beneficial, as they enable to pay off the principal with no interest accruing. Due to tight economic conditions, most credit providers start applying a balance transfer fee to their 0% offers. Good news is that best balance transfers offer a capped fee. You can find balance transfer applications that come with no balance transfer fee, but they do not provide 0% intro rates on balance transfers.

If you want to move your high interest balance on a new card with lower interest rates, you may review the following balance transfer offers.

Discover More Card has two definite advantages over other balance transfer deals. It offers a 0% APR for 12 months. And secondly, it comes with a limited balance transfer fee. This offer is ideal if you want to move a large balance. Let's say you want to transfer $5,000 on your new card. With the Discover More Card, you will pay no more than $75. With the card that has an unlimited balance transfer fee, you will pay twice as much, i.e. $150 when transferring the same balance.

Discover More Card - Sealife Collection has the same features but different card design. Choose the one you like most.

If you want to apply for the card that comes with absolutely no fees, consider Clear from American Express. This offer comes with no credit fees. As for interest rates on balance transfers, they're fixed - 3.99% for 12 months.

Select the deal that suits your situation best!

i have co signed for a dental care card for someone that has defaulted on making any payments, and the high interest rate and fees are killing me. My thought was to find a credit card with 0% interest for 12-15 months and transfer the dental care card over to it. Is this a good idea? If so, does a card exist with no transfer fees, 0% interest for 12-15 months, 0 anual fees. in other words one with the least out of pocket money?

If you are not satisfied with your current card rates and fees, it's really a good idea to find a new one with lower rates and pay off your old debts on favorable terms.

Good balance transfer cards do exist, but one can hardly find the deal that comes with all the features you've mentioned, mostly because of the current economic situation.

If you have good or excellent credit, take your time to review the most popular balance transfer applications, like Discover More® Card or HSBC Platinum MasterCard® with Cash Back Rewards that offer 0% interest rates for 12 months, no annual fee and a balance transfer fee of 3%.

Another card you may benefit from is Capital One Platinum Prestige - Visa that gives 0% intro rates on purchases and balance transfers until October 2009. It has no annual fee and a 3% balance transfer fee.

Look through these deals, make calculations to estimate your savings and apply for the card with which you can save more.
